The OILMAP software has been upgraded to Verison 6 back in May of 2007, however many users have been slow to upgrade. There are many reasons and powerful new features the new version 6 offers. A sharply improved graphical user interface, built-in TimeSliderTM toolbar for animating time-varying data, Integrated EDS: Environmental Data Server for the best aggregated public and private weather, wind, and current forecasts and observation data, viewing multiple scenarios features, new mapping options, and Web publishing to a variety of Web map servers such as ArcGIS, Google Earth, and ASA's Web client apps.
